1. Processing of Personal Data (GDPR)

Starting May 25, 2018, Regulation 2016/679/EU on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter "Regulation") applies to all European Union member states. This Regulation aims to create a unified and consistent legislative framework across the European Union, eliminating the need for national implementation measures. eGo Developer, based in Cluj-Napoca, registered with the Trade Register under no. F12/1346/29.05.2023, with CIF RO48247111, represented by legal representative Emil Paul, is responsible for operating the website www.egodev.ro and is the data controller.

This website is addressed exclusively to users aged 16 or older.

In order to comply with the obligations under the Regulation and considering that the protection of your data is a priority for us, we have prepared this document, which details the categories of personal data we collect when you visit our website, the purpose and legal basis of the processing, the duration of processing, the location where these data are stored, to whom we may transfer them, and the rights you have as a data subject. These measures have been implemented to ensure the protection of your fundamental rights and freedoms, especially the right to the protection of personal data.
2. Definitions
"Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject"). A natural person is considered identifiable if they can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that person.

"Processing" means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction of such data.

"Controller" means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. Where the purposes and means of the processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or specific criteria for its designation may be provided by such law.

"Processor" means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

We assure you that your personal data is processed in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner, solely for the specific purposes communicated to you.

The eGo Developer team, as the controller, processes personal data in a manner that ensures an adequate level of security, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing, as well as against accidental loss, destruction, or damage, through the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures.

Regulation 679/2016 guarantees the protection of the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons, particularly their right to the protection of personal data.

In relation to your personal data, you have the right to request the exercise of any of the following rights to ensure their protection:

Right of Access to Personal Data: You may request to be informed about the categories of data processed, the purpose of processing, the recipients of this data, the storage period, or, if this is not possible, the criteria used to determine the storage period, as well as the existence of automated decision-making processes, including profiling.

Right to Rectify Data: If there are errors in the processed data, you have the right to request their correction or completion. We will communicate the corrections to each recipient to whom the data has been disclosed, unless this is impossible or would require disproportionate effort.

Right to Restrict Processing: You may request the restriction of data processing in the following situations: if you contest the accuracy of the data, for a period sufficient to verify their accuracy; if the processing is unlawful and you oppose deletion, requesting restriction of use; if the data is no longer necessary for processing purposes but is needed for the establishment, exercise, or defense of a legal claim; or if you have objected to processing and it is being verified whether the legitimate rights of the operator prevail over your rights.

Right to Erasure of Data: You may request the deletion of data if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, if you have withdrawn your consent and there is no other legal basis for processing, if you oppose processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds, or if the data has been processed unlawfully.

Right to Data Portability: You may request the transfer of data to another operator, provided the processing is based on your consent and is automated.

Right to Object to Processing: You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes, including profiling. In this case, the data will be deleted.

Right to Object to Automated Decision-Making: You may request not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

These rights can be exercised by submitting a request to eGo Developer, as the operator, at our headquarters or via email at [email protected], or through the functions available on our website.

If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to file a complaint with the National Authority for the Supervision of Personal Data Processing.
